SKYE-GLOBAL has spent several years working with military and law enforcement professionals from around the world in the development of the Portable Radiation Search Tool Briefcase (PRST-BC).
SKYE-GLOBAL's Briefcase System is built to detect the presence of NORM, Industrial, Medical and SNM. The system incorporates state of the art passive scanning technology to detect changes in radiation levels emitted by gamma, radionuclides contained on persons, and in objects or vehicles.
The PRST-BC exceeds the strict requirements that military professionals, law enforcement, and emergency responders de- mand on today's complex missions. The briefcase is highly accurate, highly sensitive, rugged, portable and configurable for multiple mission requirements. The PRST-BC can be mounted in vehicle or hand carried as a portable instrument.
The PRST-BC is capable of detecting and identifying a wide range of radioactive material, including but not limited to, special nuclear materials such as plutonium and highly enriched uranium. Additionally, the PRST-BC identifies a wide variety of more common radionuclides and materials, including 40K, 60Co, 57Co, 137Cs, 192Ir, 226Ra, 241Am, 232Th and 201Tl.
